PROJECTS

Following on from the success of completing three Arts Council England funded projects for SPACE, Morse was appointed to assist with the conversion and refurbishment of a former waste and recycling centre in Bow, East London.

Morse carried out the acquisition survey prior to purchase, a measured survey and then worked closely with the architect to obtain planning permission. The next step was to produce detailed plans and a specification, tender the works, negotiate with contractors and project manage the work on site.

Morse coordinated the asbestos removal and strip out as separate packages, and managed the external repairs and redecorations, replacement of the metal roof and renewal of the flat roof finishes, installation of a new mezzanine floor, replacement and new windows and the internal fit out. All of this was carried out whilst dealing very sensitively with neighbouring properties to ensure impact was kept to a minimum
