Wyndham House project nears completion
A complex project to refurbish a complex of flats in Oxfordshire for Hanover Housing is almost complete.
The project, at Wyndham House in Oxfordshire, is managed by Morse Consultants in partnership with Designbrook Ltd and involved the refurbishment of 36 retirement flats. Works have included replacing the communal heating system, full electrical installation and interior refurbishments of the flats and required significant planning and management with a number of specialist contractors.
“We have been working for three years with Hanover Housing Association’s project team to plan and deliver this project,” said Steve Hogevold, who has worked alongside consultant design engineers Designbrook on the works since the original project planning stage. ”We have completed all the refurbishment work on the flats within the timeframe, which includes all new kitchens, bathrooms and redecoration.”
The works were carried out in five phases whilst the residents remained in occupation. ”This aspect of the project was particularly significant; the flats are retirement homes and it was vital that the work was carried out sensitively with the minimum of impact on the residents at Wyndham House,” said Steve.
