Work has commenced at one of SPACE’s artist studio buildings in East London.

The works are extensive and involve adding an additional storey on the building, installing a “green” roof, external redecoration and internal redecoration, cladding of the structure and window replacements, is the second project Morse has carried out for SPACE.

Morse has already managed works at Haymerle, in Peckham.  Morse is also managing works at Martello, also in East London which is due to start on site at the end of May.

“Deborah House is a complex project, having required planning permission for the changes to the building, which will include a new façade and a green roof,” said Jonathan Hemsley, senior building surveyor at Morse Consultants who is managing the project.
